To mark the 40^th anniversary of the Glastonbury festival this year, Michael and Emily Eavis have compiled a personal scrapbook featuring exclusive material from their personal archives to raise money for Oxfam’s work in Haiti.

Competition for upcoming bands, musicians and artist;

The London Weekly has teamed up with Celtic Blue Rock Festival to give bands, musicians and artists across the UK an opportunity to enter our competition to play at this year’s Celtic Blue Rock Festival. Billed as one of the best  festivals in Wales. You would get your chance to perform to thousands of festival goers . 20 acts will be selected through out 20 cities to the finals to perform to a selected judging panel of music industry executives. 3 acts will then play at the Celtic Blue Rock Festival were one act will be voted for ‘Rising Star Award 2010’.

Finals take place at a private London venue filmed infront of  a live audience  in June 2010.

From June 2010, the London Weekly will be running a brand new monthly night called 'The London Weekly Future chart show', each month we will pick 5 top bands/artist or musicians to perform live to a live audience at a secret location in London. Artist/Bands will also have an opportunity to recieve  a promotional feature on the London Weekly and a profile on www.thelondonweekly.co.uk
